Connecting the dots between trauma, physiology, environment, and healing.

I believe there are always reasons your nervous system is responding the way it is. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted, or confused by symptoms that don't seem to make sense. You may feel like you've tried everything, yet anxiety, chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, physical symptoms, or relationship challenges continue to follow you.

  • I work with adults who are navigating the effects of trauma, chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, and chronic health challenges.

    My clients are often:

    • Living with Complex PTSD or developmental trauma

    • Experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, or burnout

    • Feeling stuck in patterns of hypervigilance, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or shutdown

    • Struggling with chronic illness, chronic pain, or unexplained physical symptoms

    • Navigating mold illness, environmental sensitivities, or complex medical journeys

    • Interested in functional medicine and whole-person approaches to healing

    • Looking for a therapy experience that goes beyond traditional talk therapy

    • Wanting to better understand the relationship between their body, mind, and nervous system

Many of my clients have spent years trying to "push through" their symptoms. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, listen to what your system has been communicating, and create meaningful change from the inside out.

  • Complex trauma and PTSD: Healing the lasting impacts of childhood trauma, relational wounds, developmental trauma, and overwhelming life experiences.

Nervous system regulation: Understanding patterns of fight, flight, freeze, collapse, and fawn while building greater flexibility and resilience within your nervous system.

Anxiety and stress: Helping you move beyond constant overwhelm, over-functioning, and survival mode.

Chronic illness and health conditions: Supporting individuals whose emotional and physical health challenges intersect, while recognizing the complex relationship between stress physiology, trauma, and physical symptoms.

Gut-brain and mind-body health: Exploring the connections between emotional well-being, nervous system functioning, digestive health, inflammation, and overall wellness.

Functional and integrative health support: Working alongside clients who are pursuing functional medicine, naturopathic care, or other integrative approaches to healing.

  • I have a special interest in the intersection of trauma, nervous system functioning, chronic illness, and the gut-brain connection. My work is informed by ongoing study of Polyvagal Theory, autonomic nervous system functioning, and mind-body approaches to healing.

I am currently completing formal training through Somatic Experiencing International and am in the Intermediate level of the program as I work toward becoming a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). Somatic Experiencing is a body-oriented approach to trauma healing that focuses on helping the nervous system process and recover from stress and traumatic experiences.

In addition to my Somatic Experiencing training, I have pursued extensive education in:

    • Polyvagal theory

    • Autonomic nervous system activation and regulation cycles

    • Trauma-informed care

    • Complex Trauma Recovery

    • Mind-body healing approaches

    • Chronic illness and health conditions such as mold illness

    • Functional and integrative wellness perspectives

I am passionate about helping clients understand the roots underneath their symptoms and empowering them with tools that support both emotional and physiological healing.

Therapy for people in pain.

Nervous System Restoration and Integrative Healing with Bekah

Bekah's Nervous System Restoration and Integrative Healing approach is designed for individuals who sense that their symptoms are connected, even when healthcare providers have treated them as separate problems. It is especially suited for people who recognize that chronic stress, trauma, illness, environmental exposures, and nervous system dysregulation often influence one another and who are seeking a more holistic path toward healing.

This approach is particularly beneficial for:

  • Adults living with chronic stress, chronic health conditions, anxiety, or persistent nervous system activation and/or dysregulation.

  • Individuals navigating chronic illness, chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, digestive concerns, or medically complex health challenges.

  • People recovering from mold illness, environmental exposures, or health conditions that have left them feeling disconnected from their bodies.

  • Individuals pursuing functional medicine, naturopathic care, or integrative health approaches who want support addressing the nervous system components of healing.

  • Trauma survivors whose symptoms continue to impact their physical health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, and daily functioning.

  • Those who feel frustrated after years of searching for answers and want a deeper understanding of the relationship between their experiences, physiology, and health.

  • Individuals seeking a compassionate, body-centered approach that honors both scientific understanding and lived experience.

Experience healing through an integrative approach that combines Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, autonomic nervous system education, trauma-informed psychotherapy, and mind-body healing principles. This work recognizes that symptoms are often meaningful communications from the body rather than problems to be silenced or ignored.

Bekah helps clients explore the interconnected relationship between trauma, stress physiology, the autonomic nervous system, and physical health. Through nervous system awareness and regulation, clients learn to recognize patterns of fight, flight, freeze, collapse, and chronic activation that may contribute to both emotional distress and physical symptoms.

Rather than focusing exclusively on symptom management, this approach seeks to uncover the patterns beneath the symptoms. Clients develop a deeper understanding of how their nervous systems have adapted to stress, adversity, illness, and environmental challenges while learning practical ways to cultivate greater flexibility, resilience, and capacity for healing.

As a therapist with a passion for the gut-brain connection, chronic illness, functional medicine, and integrative wellness, Bekah frequently collaborates with clients who are working alongside naturopathic doctors, functional medicine physicians, registered dieticians, herbalists, and other healthcare providers. She serves as a bridge between emotional healing and physical healing, helping clients integrate the insights gained from their broader healthcare journey into meaningful and sustainable change.

At the heart of this work is a simple belief: your body is not working against you. Even symptoms that feel confusing, overwhelming, or frustrating often reflect your nervous system's attempts to adapt, protect, and survive.

By cultivating safety, awareness, and connection within the body, Bekah helps clients move beyond survival mode and toward greater regulation, vitality, and trust in themselves. The goal is not simply symptom reduction—it is helping you reconnect with your body's innate capacity for healing and creating a life that feels more grounded, resilient, and fully your own.
