What is Compassion-Focused Therapy and Mindful Self-Compassion Therapy and how can it help me?
These therapies help you develop kindness and understanding toward yourself, especially when you’re feeling self-critical or struggling with shame. They teach you to treat yourself with the same warmth and care you would offer a good friend. This can reduce feelings of anxiety, shame, and self-judgment, helping you feel calmer and more supported.

What does a session look like?
In sessions, your therapist will guide you through exercises like imagining a compassionate inner figure—someone wise and caring inside you—to help respond gently to harsh self-criticism. You’ll also learn calming breathing techniques to help you feel safe and grounded. The therapist will help you recognize your inner critic’s voice and work on replying to it with kindness and understanding.
